Profile

Established at the inception of the college in 1967, the department introduces the learners to the novel developments in the field of English Language and literature. The Under Graduate programme B A Functional English was started in 1998 under Kannur University. The programme includes Media Studies, Film Studies, Writing Skills, Literary Theory, English Language Teaching and Translation Studies. Complementary course in Journalism provides opportunities for the interested students to pursue Journalism as a career.

The department is committed to equip learners as employable individuals to meet the ever-growing demands of the job market.
