Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP)

The Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) in Kerala is an initiative aimed at enhancing the employability of the state's youth by imparting industry-relevant skills and knowledge. The primary aim of ASAP is to create a workforce that is better equipped to meet the demands of the modern job market, thereby reducing unemployment and underemployment among the youth of Kerala. By offering skill development and training in a wide range of industries, ASAP plays a crucial role in preparing students for a successful and fulfilling career. The program was launched by the Government of Kerala to bridge the gap between the skills possessed by the youth and the requirements of the job market. The ASAP has been functioning in Sir Syed college since 2013. It provides a platform to enhance the employability skills, soft skills, life skills etc at free of cost to selected students. A batch consists of 40 students and priorities are given to financially backward and meritorious students.
