Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a government initiative in India that aims to promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange between people from different states and union territories of the country. The initiative was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2015, on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The initiative is based on the idea that India's diversity is its strength. By promoting interaction and understanding between people from different parts of the country, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat aims to strengthen national unity and cohesion.

The initiative is implemented through a variety of activities, including:

  • Cultural exchanges: State and union territories are paired up for a year, and they organize cultural exchanges that allow people from different parts of the country to learn about each other's cultures.
  • Language learning: The initiative encourages people to learn the languages of other states and union territories.
  • Tourism: The initiative promotes tourism between different parts of the country.
  • Sports: The initiative organizes sports competitions between teams from different states and union territories.
