National Cadet Corps is a premier youth organization of the country. It persistently strives to mould and refine the body and mind of the enterprising and enthusiastic student community. Its core function being nation–building, the corps endeavour to instill in the cadets, a sense of discipline and social service that will help to bring about the qualities of leadership and the spirit of adventure in them. All able bodied and interested students may enroll themselves in NCC. The objective of NCC training is the improvement of mental alacrity, cultivating a sense of discipline and responsibility, development of personality and aptitude for leadership and inculcation of the principles and practice of military service. Attendance is compulsory at parades on the days fixed. Normally parades will be held on holidays and will not interfere with the academic work. An NCC cadet with 75% or more attendance in NCC activities for three academic years will be eligible for concession of marks in the qualifying examination for the purpose of admission to higher studies. Various incentives are given to the cadets at different levels. Seats are reserved for eligible NCC cadets for various professional courses. Weightage marks are given to eligible cadets for admission to various courses. Intake: Girls - 106, Boys - 107
