Verbal Vibes: A Day of Enrichment.

A vibrant one-day program, Verbal Vibes , a collaborative effort between the Debate and Quiz club English Department, of Sir Syed College, and LEAD Club of Seethi Sahib HSS unfolded on 4/12/24 Wednesday. The event was a harmonious blend of intellectual stimulation, cultural exploration, and scientific inquiry. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Muhammed Saleem P.M., Assistant Professor, Department of English, Sir Syed College. Dr. Sabita Shankunni, HoD in Charge, Assistant Professor, Department of English, presided over the function. The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Ismail Olayikkara, Principal, Sir Syed College. Muhammed Ali Master, LEAD coordinator of Seethi Sahib HSS, graced the occasion with his felicitations. Nabhan Sadik, Joint Convener of the Debate and Quiz Club, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks. The academic sessions were equally engaging. Navas Mannan, Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam, delivered an insightful talk on the importance of time. Participants were mesmerized by the vast collection of 47,300 books, meticulously arranged in the college library. The visit was coordinated by the dedicated librarians, Mr. Abdul Rasheed T.P (Librarian) and Safvan (Assistant Librarian) providing insights into the world of knowledge. Muneer K.K., Gardner, guided participants on a botanical garden visit, while Muhammed Sayeed T, Assistant Professor and HoD, Department of Chemistry, facilitated an exploration of the chemistry lab. V.H. Nishad, Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism, conducted a captivating theatre session. The highlight of the day was the Just a Minute Talk competition, inaugurated by Fidha Majeed, Chairperson of the College Union. Simy V. Jiby, Assistant Professor, on contract, Department of English, served as the esteemed judge. The quiz round, conducted by a talented group of senior students from the quiz club, including Nabhan Sadik, Fathimathul Niza CP, Fathimathul Naja KK, Jadeer Jalal, Muhammed Nihal P, Ansab Malikkan, Muhammed Razal, Zahwa Sathar, and Shamna KR, tested participants' knowledge and quick thinking. Children who participated in quiz competition and just a minute talk competition were given incentives and prizes. The organizers ensured the well-being of the participants by providing refreshing tea, snacks, and ice cream. The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all participants. It showcased the power of collaboration and the potential for intellectual growth. The organizers and participants deserve commendation for their efforts in making this day a memorable one. The event was organised with the intention of helping students to become trainers and to introduce them to the field of life and career coaching. The sessions were handled by Muhammed Saleem P.
