A Professional Academy is a distinct unit or department within a college that provides specialized training, education, and skill development in a particular professional domain. The primary goals of a Professional Academy are, To offer industry-specific courses, training, and certifications that align with the demands of the job market, To equip students with practical skills and hands-on experience in their chosen profession, To support students in their career journeys, providing guidance, job placement assistance, and networking opportunities, To promote lifelong learning and professional development among students and working professionals, A Center of Excellence is a specialized research and development center within a college that focuses on a particular field or discipline. Its objectives include, To conduct cutting-edge research and innovation in a specific area, contributing to the advancement of knowledge, To offer advanced academic programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, that delve deeply into the chosen domain, To foster collaboration with industry partners, government agencies, and other academic institutions to drive innovation and address industry challenges, To disseminate research findings and best practices through publications, seminars, and conferences, To involve students in research projects, providing them with hands-on experience and mentorship. Together, a Professional Academy and a Center of Excellence enhance the educational and professional landscape of a college by focusing on specialized and in-depth training, research, and development in specific fields. These initiatives are instrumental in producing highly skilled professionals and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their respective disciplines. The center offers a variety of courses in collaboration with various organizations, including; ACCA courses in collaboration with NSDC, Computerized Tally Accounting, UGC coaching in commerce, English, and first paper, Multiple PSC and UPSC coaching programs, in association with the Minority Coaching Center NEET coaching for economically and socially disadvantaged students in Northern Kerala. These diverse educational programs cater to a wide range of students, helping them achieve their academic and career goals. In collaboration with the college career cell, the academy conducts career coaching programs tailored to students' aptitude during the first and last years of their programs. Additionally, the academy regularly organizes central university entrance coaching programs for PG courses under this initiative.
