Mangrove conservation activities

The Programme is jointly organized by department of Botany and Bhoomithrasena Club of Sir Syed College Taliparamba. Our vision is a system in which thriving mangrove habitats exist in harmony with the communities they support.  We combine our vision with a mission to restore the ecosystem, awareness programmes and activities that help to regenerate mangrove ecosystems, tackle climate change and sustain livelihoods.   Main aim is to raise awareness of the importance of the most fragile mangrove ecosystems  and to promote solutions for their sustainable management, conservation and uses. For the successful implementation of the project we have association with WWF and WTI ,Kandal project scheme. Our service mainly include – conducting camps and workshop at mangrove sites, conducting seminars exhibitions, ,street plays and workshops, planting seedlings, raising seedling nursery, cleaning the ecosystem, free awareness classes to students, youth and local people through Magical Mangrove programme by WWF.
