INTERDEPARTMENTAL QUIZ COMPETITION

The quiz competition of National Statistics Day held on 25/07/2024, was a resounding success. Organized by the Department of Statistics at Sir Syed College, the event featured 8 teams from various departments, competing in rounds covering basics of statistics , modern statistics , general knowledge and rapid-fire questions. The competition was intense, with students demonstrating remarkable knowledge and quick thinking. The team from chemistry department clinched the first place, followed by mathematics department. The event, judged by Thanseeha Mam and hosted by Sandra, also saw enthusiastic participation from the audience, who engaged in interactive questions.Overall, the quiz competition not only highlighted the academic prowess of the students but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition.

The Dept of Statistics has been conducted a training session to final year Bsc statistics students ,it was taken by our Alumni Irfana A (Msc statistics,Central University of Hyderabad),and appointed as Junior management officer & Data Analyst ,Federal Bank,Hyderabad, The training sessions cover a broad spectrum of data analysis techniques, starting from basic data loading and cleaning to advanced data visualization and statistical modeling,MoreThe students could easily understand and facilitate their project ideas .
